Help Us Name Our Frames

Your chance for a little fame and fortune. When we only had one fixed gear frame model, things were easy. It was our only baby. Having the only nameless frame around was OK. Now we have two models and things aren't as easy. And next year we might have three models, who knows?

We were thinking about names since we knew we were producing our Alloy Track Frame, but never got around to doing anything. To help out with a name, you must go to our FaceBook fan page. Read the guidelines under "Discussions". Submit your ideas there, too. We know you guys are creative. Let's see just how much. Best 5 entries, get Pake schwag. (Yes you have to be signed into Facebook to participate.) Thanks for helping us out!

"Dion Rides Bikes" Review of the C'Mute Frame

Dion reviews our C'Mute frame on his blog. For the short attention span afflicted his conclusion is below. Full review here.

The Pake C'Mute is a wonderful idea. Part road, part commuter, part cyclocross bike, part mountain bike - you can truly make it into whatever you want. I feel this frame will be a dependable life-long friend. Its ageless design will never let you down, no matter how advance frame design becomes.

I foresee the C'Mute evolving into many forms and wearing many hats throughout its life with me. While parts and old technology are replaced, the platform will live on forever.

RMX Stem

New stem inspired by the vintage Nitto MT-16 BMX stem. We have the normal shorty lengths, plus a 100mm if someone has an unusual need for that.

Pake Alloy Frame Sets are Here

They took a little longer than we expected, but they are finally here.
Shops can order from our distributor Merry Sales starting in a couple of days if you ain't still stuck at Interbike. To our awesome customers who have been waiting: Please give your shops some time to get these.

We love the simple efficient round oversized tubes. It's just classic.
The hourglass headtube takes a 1-1/8" internal headset (Cane Creek IS type)
Track ends have replaceable steel plates. Includes a light but durable alloy crown carbon fork.

This thing is about speed, plain and simple. Plan on getting one soon.

Pake C'Mute "The Touring Bike"

Many thanks to Muuqi up in Seattle for sending us a great write-up he did about his C'Mute in the Life(Cycles) blog he writes. He built it up as pretty nice touring bike..that C'Mute is one versatile machine!! With its horizontal dropouts, the second rack eyelet sit pretty far back and give you better pannier-heel clearance than almost every cyclocross-styled do-all frame out there. (probably close to 450mm from the BB)

Legendary Freestyler at Bumstead

Garrison at Bumstead Bikes in Ontario, Ca sent us this pic. Freestyle rap artist, MC Supernatural was eying some of the complete Pake track build they had on the floor. Supernat ended up customizing a red Pake track frame into a hip commuter.
On August 5, 2006, Supernatural freestyle for over 9 hours whilst hosting the Rock The Bells festival in San Bernadino, Ca. The jaw-dropping rap placed him into the Guiness Book of World Records.
